CMDCM (NAC/SW) Darrell Timpa

Master Chief (NAC/SW) Darrell L. Timpa was born and raised in Dallas, Texas.  Following graduation from high school he enlisted in the United States Naval Reserve August 1988 reporting to Boot Camp in San Diego, CA.  He transitioned to the active duty forces in October 1991.

 His flying tours included: NAS Patuxent River, Maryland Search & Rescue, NAS Corpus Christi, Texas Search & Rescue, and MCAS Iwakuni Search & Rescue.

 His sea tours included: USS Vincennes (CG 49), USS Lassen (DDG 82), and Commander Amphibious Forces Seventh Fleet.

 His shore assignments included: Naval Regional Medical Center San Diego, CA, and  Naval School of Health Sciences San Diego, CA.

Master Chief is a graduate of Naval Air Crewman Candidate School, Independent Duty Corpsman School, Senior Enlisted Academy class 166 blue group, and CMC/COB Leadership Course.

 Master Chief’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (seven awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Medal and various service medals/awards.
